The longest-standing health care modality to date. Herbal medicine takes a holistic approach to supporting the normal function of the body. It’s tradition is grounded in the prevention of illness. It takes the unique constitution of a patient into place when arriving at a prescription.
Functional Medicine
The study of patients’ unique physiology using lab and qualitative assessment in order to secure optimal function of the body, rather than simply treating patient’s due to a disease state.
What we treat
At Gingko Integrative Medicine, we treat a variety of conditions, especially those related to hormones and the chapters in a women’s reproductive life. From menarche, though childbearing years, perimenopause and the menopausal transition, we use our understanding of endocrinology, both from a Chinese medicine model, and using tools of functional medicine, as an assay for a women’s overall well-being and vitality.

Rachel Schaefer LAc FABORM is a licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist in the State of California. She is also a National Diplomate of Oriental Medicine and specializes in Endocrinology, Women’s Health and Fertility.
